IRAN, MIDDLE EAST

In October 2010, Iranian officials "called on the world's legal organizations to launch an intensive campaign against money laundering, terrorism, and drug smuggling." This comes as a surprise since Iran is a supporter of terrorism (especially against Israel and in Iraq) and has also been supplying "bags of money" to Afghanistan (which some believe is being used to pay the Taliban to kill Allied troops).

Pray for the Lord to reveal the true motives behind Iran's words and actions.

Ask Him to reveal Himself to the leaders of this nation and to continue to bring a great awakening to the people as they hear and respond to the Gospel.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to move throughout Iran and for God's Kingdom to come in righteousness, peace, and joy.

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)

TUNISIA, NORTH AFRICA

Nearly 500 people were arrested during another large street protest in Tunisia on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Soldiers and tanks reportedly entered Deraa. Human rights groups claim more than 550 people have been killed during this time of unrest. Pray for the Lord's plans and purposes for this nation to be fulfilled. Pray for the government to stop attacking its own people. Ask the Lord to restore order and bring spiritual transformation to Tunisia. Plead for the souls of this nation. Pray for Christians to be protected from the violence and be bold in sharing the Gospel. Invite God's Kingdom to come, His will be done in Tunisia. (Psalm 37:37)
