AZERBAIJAN, Southwest Asia

In November 2010, officials from the government of Azerbaijan met with members of the Pakistani government to discuss "urgent issues of cooperation in combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism."

Praise the Lord for the alertness of these governments and pray for theirefforts to be guided by and blessed by Him.

Pray for an end to al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups operating in Southwest Asia and for the leaders of Azerbaijan to remain vigilant in defending their nation.

Ask the Lord to give Christian Believers strength and boldness to share theGospel.

Pray for more workers to be sent into this harvest field and for multitudes ofMuslims to find the salvation available only in Jesus Christ.

KAZAKHSTAN, CENTRAL ASIA..

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
