INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Officials in India are concerned about terrorists and terrorist acts spilling over the border from Pakistan. They are also very interested in what is taking place in Afghanistan because they consider it a strategic common interest. The government of India wants "peace, prosperity and an independent Afghanistan."

Pray for the Lord to guide Indian leaders as they seek to keep their nation safe.

Petition Him to give them wisdom in dealing with terrorists and the war in Afghanistan.

Plead for the multitudes of people in India who are still waiting to hear the Good News.

Pray for Christian Believers to be bold in sharing the Gospel and to take a strong stand for the name of the Lord, even as they face persecution.

Invite God's Kingdom to come to India with great signs and wonders.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
