IRAN, MIDDLE EAST

In November 2010, Iran asked the nations of the world to join them in a coordinated effort to fight terrorism, stressing the need for a "fair and non-discriminatory approach." The Foreign Ministry also called for an elimination of weapons of mass destruction.

Pray for the leaders of this Islamic, terror-sponsoring nation to realize their hypocrisy – the difference between what they are saying and what they are doing.

Pray for an immediate end to their support of Hezbullah and other terrorist groups, as well as their quest to obtain nuclear weapons.

Ask the Lord to move powerfully among the people of Iran, setting them free from the bondage of Islam and leading them into relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Pray for the great awakening and revival underway in this nation to continue, grow, and spread throughout the Middle East.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
