KYRGYZSTAN, CENTRAL ASIA

In November 2010, the government of Kyrgyzstan sponsored anti-terrorism training for its military forces. According to the Kyrgyz Defense Ministry, the army played a critical role in stabilizing the nation after the ethnic clashes in the summer of 2010 and is now being counted on to keep Kyrgyzstan safe from terrorist attacks.

Pray for the success of these operations.

Petition the Lord to expose and root out terrorist groups hiding in Central Asia.

Pray for their funding to be cut off and for members to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.

Invite the Lord to pour out His Holy Spirit on this nation and draw multitudes into relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
