SAUDI ARABIA, ARABIAN PENINSULA

Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal recently stated that Yemen (Saudi Arabia's neighbor to the south) represents a security threat to Saudi Arabia. "Terrorism emerges from Yemen and crosses into the kingdom," he said. "Refugees fleeing the conflict there flood across our border."

Pray for the Lord to give the government of Saudi Arabia wisdom in defending against this threat.

Ask Him to provide strategies for combating al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP - the Yemen-based affiliate of al-Qaeda).

Pray for the salvation of Saudi leaders, as well as key members of AQAP.

Plead for the hearts of the Muslim people of Saudi Arabia.

Ask the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this Islamic nation.

The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
