THAILAND, SOUTHEAST ASIA

The foreign ministry of Thailand dismissed a new international study which "ranked the kingdom as among the extreme risk nations" in terms of terrorism. The study found that Thailand was one of 16 countries in the world considered very vulnerable to attack.

Pray for the government of Thailand to take this assessment seriously.

Ask the Lord to give leaders wisdom in dealing with the growing threat of terrorism in this region.

Pray for the safety of the people and for their hearts to be open to the Gospel.

Intercede on behalf of those in Thailand who have never heard the Good News that Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for sin, and was raised back to life.

Pray for the Kingdom of God to come to Thailand, tearing down the strongholds of Buddhism and providing true life and freedom.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
