Security forces in Israel are targeting members of the Army of Islam – a group "believed to be engaged in terrorism plots in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula." The Army of Islam also "identifies with global Islamist causes and Al Qaeda." Pray for the success of this effort to rid the nation and region of this evil organization. The Prime Minister of Bhutan recently assured the people of Sri Lanka that "a terrorist background will not be created in Sri Lanka under the leadership of the president." He was speaking at the ceremony inaugurating President Mahinda Rajapaksa to his second term in office. The Prime Minister also called Sri Lanka a "land filled with peace." Pray for these words to become reality. Ask the Lord to continue to enable the leadership of Sri Lanka to effectively combat terrorism.
