YEMEN, ARABIAN PENINSULA

A top Yemeni official recently stated that "Yemen alone can fight and root out terrorism on its soil without foreign intervention." Although Western nations have repeatedly requested to join the fight against al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the Yemeni government has turned them down.

Ask the Lord to open the eyes of the leaders of Yemen to see the threat they are facing and also realize the need for international cooperation.

Pray for terrorist elements to be driven out of this nation and for it to no longer be a haven for terrorists.

Pray for a great harvest of souls as Muslims hear and receive the Gospel, putting their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)

TUNISIA, NORTH AFRICA

Nearly 500 people were arrested during another large street protest in Tunisia on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Soldiers and tanks reportedly entered Deraa. Human rights groups claim more than 550 people have been killed during this time of unrest. Pray for the Lord's plans and purposes for this nation to be fulfilled. Pray for the government to stop attacking its own people. Ask the Lord to restore order and bring spiritual transformation to Tunisia. Plead for the souls of this nation. Pray for Christians to be protected from the violence and be bold in sharing the Gospel. Invite God's Kingdom to come, His will be done in Tunisia. (Psalm 37:37)
