BURKINA FASO, WEST AFRICA

Soldiers in Burkina Faso went on a rampage in April 2011, firing their weapons and pillaging in what they said was a mutiny. The demonstrations have spread to several cities and police have reportedly joined in.

Pray for the Lord to use this time of unrest to draw the hearts of the men, women, and children of Burkina Faso to Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed in this nation and throughout West Africa.

Ask the Lord to restore peace. Pray for Christians in Burkina Faso to function in unity and display the love of God.

Ask the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (John 4:35)

The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
