GUINEA, WEST AFRICA

Ethnic violence claimed dozens of lives in Guinea in May 2011. The clash was set off by an accusation that a member of one tribe was casting spells on members of the other. At least ten people were burnt alive.

Pray for the Lord to restore peace and order to this nation.

Ask Him to comfort those who have been injured or who have lost family and friends in the violence.

Pray for the Church to be used to bring unity across tribal lines.

Petition the Lord to reach every people group with the Gospel.

Pray for multitudes to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Psalm 133:1)

KAZAKHSTAN, CENTRAL ASIA..

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
