IRAN, MIDDLE EAST

"A rift is emerging between Iran's president and its supreme leader," one news source says. There are also reports that members of parliament are calling for the impeachment of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Pray for the Lord to continue working powerfully in this nation.

Pray for the salvation of leaders like President Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Ask the Lord to strengthen His Church in Iran and empower Christians to be bold witnesses.

Pray for them to be protected by the Lord's mighty angels.

Invite the Kingdom of God to come to Iran as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
