JAPAN, EAST ASIA

After a huge earthquake and deadly tsunamis struck Japan in March 2011, the nation's Fukushima nuclear facility began leaking. "Highly contaminated water in some of the six reactors has prevented workers from restoring key cooling functions at the plant…."

Pray for the Lord to give the government and scientists in Japan insight into the problem and show them how to solve it.

Pray for the safety of the Japanese people and for the rebuilding process in this nation.

Ask the Lord to use Christian humanitarian agencies to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people.

Pray for the Gospel to spread throughout Japan and for men, women and children to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (James 1:27)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
