BAHRAIN, ARABIAN PENINSULA

An investigation has been launched into the crackdown on pro-democracy protests that took place in Bahrain earlier this year. At least 30 people were killed. Muslim clerics also claim 30 mosques were destroyed in the Sunni government's attempt to put down the mostly-Shia protests.

Pray for the Lord to accomplish His purposes for this nation.

Ask Him to restore peace and to draw the hearts of both Sunni and Shia Muslims into relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully in this nation.

Petition the Lord to tear down strongholds of this country and bring forth a great harvest of souls in Bahrain. (II Thessalonians 3:5)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
