CAMBODIA, SOUTHEAST ASIA

“In Cambodia, as in the majority of the countries around the world,” writes a journalist, “discrimination inflicted on women remains expressed in both obvious and more subtle fashion – from great physical violence against women to more emotional, silenced aggression.”

Pray for the women of Cambodia.

Ask the Lord to comfort and strengthen them.

Pray for the hearts of the people (mostly men) who abuse them. Pray for their salvation.

Ask the Lord to use Christian humanitarian organizations to help rescue women from dangerous and degrading situations.

Pray for the love of God expressed by these workers to have a life-changing effect on the people of Cambodia.

Petition the Lord to empower the Church to be a light in this nation, shining brightly in the darkness.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
