NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA

Persecution against Christians in Nigeria continues. According to Compass
Direct, Christians in Borno state have been forced to abandon worship services
and are now fleeing the city because of threats by Islamic terrorist group, Boko
Haram. "Churches are shutting down as many of their members have lost their
lives…. Christians are streaming out…."

Pray for the Lord to arise and do battle for His Church and people.

Pray for the defeat of Boko Haram.

Ask Him to be present with Christians, reminding them of His love and empowering
them to stand strong and continue sharing the Gospel with boldness.

Petition the Lord to move powerfully, especially in northern Nigeria, setting
non christian people free from their bondage to false religions.

Pray for their salvation.

Ask the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Nigeria.

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
