ERITREA, EAST AFRICA

Eritrea is currently detaining more journalists than any other nation in Africa. According to a human rights group, at least 17 members of the press are being held in secret prisons.

Pray for this abuse and oppression to end.

Pray for the salvation of President Isaias Afworki and key members of the government.

Pray for the thousands of Christians who are imprisoned for their faith in Eritrea.

Ask the Lord to empower them to share the Gospel with their guards and fellow prisoners.

Pray for the Lord to build His Church in this nation.

Plead with the Lord for a tremendous harvest of souls in Eritrea. (I Peter 4:12,13)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
