NORTH KOREA, EAST ASIA

A journalist in North Korea shot a video suggesting that the nation is on the brink of famine. The video was smuggled into China and the journalist now faces the death penalty.

Pray for the famine to be averted and for food to be provided for all those who are impoverished and hungry.

Ask the Lord to move the hearts of the leaders in this nation to respond to this need with great compassion.

Pray for the salvation of Kim Jong Il.

Petition the Lord to pour His Holy Spirit out on North Korea and bring forth a great harvest of souls.

Pray for God's Kingdom to come to this nation with great power and glory. (Psalm 140:12)

The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
