SOMALIA, EAST AFRICA

The nation of Somalia is considered the most dangerous in the world for women. "When a woman becomes pregnant," the Somali minister for women said, "her life is 50-50 because there is no antenatal care at all. There are no hospitals, no health care, no nothing."

Pray for the Lord to contend for the women of Somalia.

Pray for peace in this lawless nation and for healthcare to be established.

Ask the Lord to protect mothers and their children as they struggle to survive in a hazardous environment.

Pray for the salvation of Somali Muslims and members of extremists groups like al-Shabaab.

Petition the Lord to strengthen, encourage, and protect Christians in Somalia.

Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout this nation.

Ask for multitudes of Somalis to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Psalm 91:9-11)

The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
