SYRIA, MIDDLE EAST

Demonstrations are continuing in Syria and observers are concerned this could open the door for terrorist groups to seize power. "With mass protests in Syria showing no signs of abating despite a crackdown that led to 1,400 deaths and 12,000 refugees," writes one news source, "President Bashar Assad may be losing his grip on the country, paving the way for al-Qaeda."

Petition the Lord to defeat al-Qaeda's attempts to seize power.

Pray for the Lord's plans and purposes for this nation to be fulfilled.

Ask Him to raise up men and women of integrity to lead Syria.

Pray for Christians to stand firm in the Lord and boldly share the Gospel.

Pray for the salvation of President al-Assad. Ask for a great harvest of souls in Syria. (Ephesians 6:10,11)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
