TAJIKISTAN, CENTRAL ASIA

"Tajikistan's porous border with Afghanistan now provides a major conduit for narcotics trafficked to the West – this includes an estimated 95 metric tons of heroin…," says a new report from the International Crisis Group. It also notes that "Corruption remains at a breathtaking level."

Pray for this volatile, poverty-stricken nation.

Ask the Lord to move powerfully in Tajikistan, driving out corruption and drug trafficking, and ushering in His Kingdom.

Pray for the Gospel to be preached throughout this nation.

Pray for the people of Tajikistan to be set free from the bondage and put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Proverbs 28:28)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
