VIETNAM, SOUTHEAST ASIA

Human trafficking in Vietnam is considered "routine." A recent conference on this issue noted that Cambodians are transported into Vietnam on a regular basis for use in construction, agriculture, fishing and as domestic workers. Experts call the rise in human trafficking "the dark side of globalization."

Pray for the Lord to bring an end to this destructive and abusive practice.

Ask Him to move in the hearts of those who are profiting from human trafficking, setting them free from greed and leading them into relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pray for the victims to be liberated from this form of modern-day slavery and for the Lord to minister healing to them.

Petition the Lord to make the Gospel available throughout Vietnam, to every people group, in every language.

Plead with the Lord for His Kingdom to come to this nation in power. (I Thessalonians 1:5)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
