YEMEN, ARABIAN PENINSULA

Even as President Ali Abdullah Saleh scrambles to maintain control of Yemen against a tribal uprising, military forces reportedly killed 30 members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Among the dead was a top al-Qaeda leader. Give thanks to the Lord for the defeat of these terrorists.

Pray for the Lord to accomplish His plans and purposes for this nation, raising up leaders who will govern with righteousness, integrity and the fear of the Lord.

Ask the Lord to continue to bring defeat to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

Pray for the stability of Yemen and for the Lord to protect it from being taken over by militants.

Pray for the Gospel to be preached throughout this nation and for men, women and children to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Daniel 2:21)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
