GAZA STRIP, MIDDLE EAST

Palestinians fired two rockets into Israel in August 2011. "The attacks represent an escalation in the firing of longer-range rockets," one news source reported. Israel's IDF retaliated by bombing several targets in Gaza.

Pray for the Lord to establish peace in the Gaza Strip.

Pray for the salvation of members of Hamas – the terrorist group firing rockets into Israel.

Ask the Lord to protect the people of the Gaza Strip and provide for those who are suffering the effects of poverty and war.

Pray for Christians in this area to stand strong in the Lord.

Petition Him to give them boldness to share the Gospel.

Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Gaza Strip.

Ask the Lord for a great harvest of souls. (I Corinthians 16:13)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
