The nation of Iran continues to pursue the development of nuclear weapons. They are also one of the world’s most active sponsors of terrorism.

Iran is number two on the list of the worst persecutors of Christians. Hundreds of Christians were arrested in 2010 as the government cracked down on a house church network.

Despite fierce persecution, Iran has the world’s fastest growing evangelical population.

PRAYER:

Pray the Lord to continue moving powerfully in Iran, adding daily to His Church.

Pray for Christians to be bold in sharing the Gospel. (Acts 2:47; Ephesians 6:19)

Pray for the salvation of key members of the government.

Pray for the Lord to expose and stop any plans to use nuclear weapons for destructive purposes. (I Timothy 2:1,2; Mark 4:22)

Pray the Kingdom of God to come to Iran with miracles, dreams, and visions. (Matthew 6:10; Acts 2:17)

The nation of Kazakhstan is part of the terrorism watch list because of its possible link to terrorist activities. The government has objected to being on this list, citing a history free of terrorism. But experts are concerned that might be changing. Pray for the government of Kazakhstan to do everything they can to prevent terrorism and keep their nation safe from terrorist group activity. Pray for Muslims in Kazakhstan to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for Christians to continue to faithfully pray for their nation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Kazakhstan. (Psalm 71:3)

INDIA, SOUTH ASIA

Hindu "holy man" Sathya Sai Baba died in April 2011. He was considered a "god" by his followers, who numbered in the millions. They believe he healed himself and was reborn in 1993. They are now praying for his resurrection. Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of all those in India who have put their hope in men and false gods. Pray for their blind eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to be proclaimed throughout India. Petition the Lord to tear down the strongholds of Hinduism and set free those held captive by this religion. Plead with the Lord for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Isaiah 42:6,7)
