This nation’s name means “land of the free.” However the people are in bondage to the false religion. Buddhism has been present there since as early as the 3rd century BC.
Thailand is also a source and destination for human trafficking. According to the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women International (CATW), women and girls as young as 12 are sent to brothels and held under prison-like conditions.
