Western Sahara was ruled by Spain until 1975, then it was annexed by Morocco. Since that time, many of the people have been forced to live in refugee camps in Algeria as they await liberation. At this time, Morocco shows no sign of allowing Western Sahara to be independent.

The Saharawi people are very nearly 100% Muslim. There are very few Christians and very few harvest workers sharing the Gospel among the Saharawi.

PRAISE

“We see a new day of growth and witness among the Saharawi,” explains Jason Mandryk in “Operation World.” “There are openings for ministry to refugees through relief and development.”

PRAYER

Pray for an end to the decades-long dispute over this nation.

Pray for the freedom and independence of the Saharawi people. (John 8:36)

Ask the Kingdom of God to come to Western Sahara.

Pray for the Lord to accomplish His plans and purposes for this nation. ( Jeremiah 29:11)
