SRI LANKA, SOUTH ASIA

According to a high ranking officer, the Sri Lankan Navy is "continuously monitoring and gathering intelligence from the Indian Ocean to curb human trafficking." The United Nations estimates that somewhere between 700,000 and 4 million women and children are trafficked throughout the world each year.

Pray for an end to this abusive practice.

Ask the Lord to guide the military forces of Sri Lanka as they fight this criminal activity.

Pray for those who have been kidnapped and forced into prostitution and labor.

Plead for their safety and freedom.

Petition the Lord to make the Gospel known throughout Sri Lanka and for a great harvest of souls.

OMAN, ARABIAN PENINSULA

Omanis protested in July 2011, demanding political reforms, better jobs and wages. The government responded by dispatching security forces who fired tear gas to disperse the crowds and made a large number of arrests. Pray for the Lord's plans and purposes to be accomplished in Oman. Pray for this time of unrest to be an open door for the Gospel. Petition the Lord to reveal Himself in this nation. Pray for men, women, and children to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Invite the Kingdom of God to come to Oman with signs, wonders, dreams, and visions. (I Corinthians 4:20)
